Vision Helsingborg 2035 is the city’s long-term vision to be a creative, vibrant, unified, global and balanced city by the year 2035. These keywords include a multitude of things and that is the strength of the vision.

Projects that are original, innovative and lead towards the Vision Helsingborg 2035. Keep in mind that Visionsfonden projects must be one-off in nature, i.e. the project cannot have been previously carried out in Helsingborg and cannot receive funding for more than a one-year project timeline.
Visionsfonden does not support:
Investments in, for example, equipment that is seen as being intended for use after the project’s completion.
Projects that take place outside of Helsingborg.
Projects that can be done without Visionsfonden’s funding.
Projects that are intended to grow existing operations for a company, org or assoc.
Projects that are already funded or will be funded by the municipality of Helsingborg.
Projects awarded a Visionsfonden grant need to:
Give acknowledgement in all project marketing materials that the project was made possible with support from Visionsfonden.
Create project documentation with, for example, photos, texts and videos that Helsingborgs stad can later use on its webpage (helsingborg.se).
Submit a final report no later than three months after the project has ended, or within the one year from when the project received funding.
Start within six months from when the project receives the money.
Your application is read by three different committees before receiving a final decision. Your application starts with the first committee, which includes Visionsfonden’s ideacoach and closest colleagues. The second committee is made up of representatives from all of the city departments. The third committee, consisting of the city’s department directors, then makes a final selection of projects.
You will be contacted if we think that your application is incomplete or if we have additional questions.
Visionsfonden has three application deadlines a year. After every deadline, there is a 5-6 week process during which the applications are read by three different committees and projects are selected for funding.
After this, the payment of funds takes another 2-3 weeks. During this time, the idea owners first meet with and sign agreements with Visionsfonden; after which funding is distributed.
You can apply for maximum 100 000 SEK.
Yes, you can book a coaching session with Visionsfonden. A meeting when we talk about your idea and application. Because of COVID-19 we only offer coaching sessions by a phone or videocall. You can book a meeting with our e-service. The service shows which appointments are available the upcoming month.
Yes. One of the criteria is that the project must be implemented in Helsingborg.
No. But the project has to be implemented in Helsingborg or benefit Helsingborg residents.
Visionsfonden gives out between 1 000 000 every year. How much we give to projects depends on if the applications fulfill all the criteria and how many applications are submitted. Any money that is not used by the end of the year is transferred to next year’s fund.
After the idea owners have been granted funding from Visionsfonden, they need to sign an agreement. They are also responsible for writing and submitting final reports after the projects have been completed. Visionsfonden maintains contact with the idea owners throughout their project timelines.
Most of the time, Visionsfonden grants the amount you have applied for. It is important that you describe in the application what the money will be used for. After the project’s completion, you will submit a final report which confirms how the money was used, and notes any changes you made to the project budget.
Yes. But we need to know how much you are asking from other funders. It is also important that you write in your application what Visionsfonden monies will specifically cover in the budget.
It is important to remember that Visionsfonden does not grant projects that already have, or will have, funding from Helsingborgs stad.
No, the funding cannot primarily go to salary. However, a small amount of the funding can be used as a fee in order to make it possible for the idea owner/s or collaborators to work with the project.
Normally, as a private individual you do not need to pay taxes for the funding as long as the money is used for the project only.
If you apply as a company, the income should be handled in the same way as other incomes to the company. The funding from Visionsfonden is not disbursed as a salary or fee.
Helsingborgs stad is not responsible for questions regarding taxes, therefore the responsibility is on the receiver of the funding according to VAT rules. If you have questions regarding taxes please call Skatteverket at 0771- 567 567.
