This year, we’re holding HIC Coffee Mornings at different independent cafés, where you’ll hear from the proprietors about their business. You’ll get a snapshot into their passion for sustainability, local produce, entrepreneurship, and local history, institutions, and traditions.
In April, we’ll visit Café 1886, formerly known as Zoégas Café. Zoégas coffee shop was located at Drottninggatan 30 in Helsingborg for over 100 years. The coffee roastery was founded in 1886, and Zoégas operated the café from 1901 to 2022. The current owners took over in June 2022 and renovated the entire café, preserving a cherished tradition and enhancing the venue for the 21st century.
As always, the focus of the morning will be on meeting new and old friends and enjoying good conversation. Newcomers will be able to build their social network and get great tips from longer-established residents!
We’ve reserved the back room of the café (the side facing Norra Strandgatan). Registration is not required. Please purchase drinks and any food at the counter on arrival.
