Helsingborg Climate Walk with HIC
Learn about the challenges, innovations, and strategies that Helsingborg works with to build a more sustainable city!
The Climate Walk begins at Helsingborg Central Station, located next to the new bridge, known as “Varvsbron.” From there, we embark on a two-hour walk through the city, stopping at various locations connected to Helsingborg’s local challenges related to climate change and climate adaptation.
Along the way, we discuss the challenges, innovations, and strategies Helsingborg is working with to build a more sustainable city—such as issues related to the ocean, transportation, air pollution, urban trees, and sustainable construction methods. We also walk through the old parts of Helsingborg, where houses from the 16th century give the streets a very different atmosphere. The tour ends at Slottshagen, by the old castle of Kärnan.
Meeting place: Varvsbron (behind Helsingborg C station). Varvsbron is the pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting the outside car park at Helsingborg C with the district of Oceanhamnen.
This tour is arranged in collaboration with the City of Helsingborg.
